Moheet was the world’s first Arabic language news website with 70 staff journalists conducting original reporting and a dedicated page for each Arab country for local news, in addition to Pan-Arab and international news.
We established our Arabic language news portal in 1997 well before anyone thought of initiating Al Jazeera, BBC Arabic, CNN Arabic, MSN Arabic, or any of the sites with which our Western clients might be more familiar. We proved the viability of a business model could of aggregating news from around the Arab speaking world and presenting that information in Arabic on the Web.
Moheet.com still thrives today with a dedicated audience who appreciate its new presentation and contemporary design.
Several sites have recently been spun off of Moheet in order to better serve their respective audiences:
Korabia.com for sports
Lahona.com for women
AlfanOnline.com for entertainment and celebrity news, and
Shoghlanty.com for jobs
